<headline>RANGE ROVER CELEBRATES ITS 10TH ANNIVERSARY WITH NEW SPECIAL EDITIONS...</headline>

The Range Rover enters its 10th anniversary year in 2012, continuing to set benchmarks in luxury, capability and performance. Going beyond the 2012 model year enhancements that were introduced in October 2011, the Range Rover line-up is being developed to include three new Special Editions; The TDV8 Westminster, TDV8 Autobiography and Supercharged Autobiography.
The new arrivals focus on further extending the luxury and high specifications that are at the core of the Range Rover brand.
In 2012 Land Rover celebrates 10 years of Range Rover in its current guise. The third generation Range Rover was introduced in 2002 to critical acclaim setting new benchmarks in levels of luxury and all-terrain capability. Over the past decade, several facelifts and model year updates have kept the Range Rover at the cutting edge of technology leading up to the latest special editions, which will provide customers with increased options and convenience.
Westminster Edition
The new Range Rover Westminster Edition joins the line-up to replace the previous TDV8 Vogue and Vogue SE models. Going further than its predecessors, it comes handsomely equipped with an extensive collection of additional features that raise both the vehicle’s prestige style and comfort levels for everyone on board.
The exterior of the Westminster Edition is distinguished by the bright 'Noble' finish to the front grille and side vents, 'Titan' silver lower splitter bar and fog lamp bezels, 20-inch, 10-spoke alloy wheels and 'Westminster' badging. Opening the doors reveals illuminated treadplates and a cabin finished with luxury carpets and Grand Black lacquer trim elements, plus bright-finished pedal finishers. The front seats feature both heating and cooling functions and the in car entertainment system benefits from a 19-speaker, 1,200W harman/kardon LOGIC7 surround sound system as well as Range Rover’s innovative Dual View infotainment screen.
Featuring the powerful yet refined 4.4-litre TDV8 engine with eight-speed automatic transmission, the new Westminster Edition is available in a choice of seven exterior colours, with five interior colour combinations. The standard equipment specification further includes an electric sunroof, automatic headlights and windscreen wipers, Park Distance Control with rear-view camera, memory setting for the steering wheel, driver’s seat and rear-view mirror and a heated, leather trimmed steering wheel.
TDV8 Autobiography and Supercharged Autobiography
Bold design and ultimate luxury underpin the new Range Rover TDV8 Autobiography and Supercharged Autobiography. Both benefit as standard from the Range Rover Design Pack, a collection of exterior styling features that are seamlessly integrated to compliment the car's powerful appearance, without compromising its classic lines.
The pack introduces new front and rear bumpers, ‘Titan’ silver front grille and side vent treatments and fog lamp surrounds, integrated stainless steel exhaust finishers and side skirts. These are complemented by striking 20-inch alloy wheels in Shadow Chrome.
Inside the focus is on unparalleled luxury and comfort with the Range Rover Seat Style Pack. This comprises rear seats with recline and lumbar adjustment, heating and cooling functions and multi-adjustable aircraft-style headrests with wings for added support. The passenger "front seat away" function provides a simple control for adding extra rear legroom, while the front passenger seat itself benefits from a memory function than can store up to three different personalised settings.
Both versions gain the 19-speaker, 1,200W harman/kardon LOGIC7 surround sound system and are fitted with illuminated treadplates. Seven exterior finishes are available, together with an extensive range of interior colour and trim combination options. The TDV8 Autobiography retains its 4.4-litre engine and eight-speed automatic transmission, with the Supercharged Autobiography powered by the 5.0-litre LR-V8 petrol unit with six-speed automatic gearbox.
Sales and pricing
The new Range Rover Special Edition models go on sale in March. The TDV8 Westminster Edition is £69,995, presenting customers with significant additional feature content over and above the specification of the former Vogue and Vogue SE models.
On-the-road prices for the TDV8 Autobiography and Supercharged Autobiography are £84,295 and £86,895 respectively.

SEAT...

<headline>THE SEAT Mii – FIVE DOORS BRING EVEN MORE VERSATILITY...</headline>

SEAT is revealing an expansion to the Mii city car line-up with the first glimpse of an even more versatile five-door version. The additional rear doors turn the super-compact SEAT into a unique combination of exceptional driving fun, sporty design and outstanding functionality.
Of course the new five-door Mii remains true to core SEAT principles – meaning it’s both a pleasure to drive, and a pleasure to own.
In either three- or five-door form the Mii scores top marks for fuel consumption and emissions thanks to its lightweight design and efficient drivetrains. This applies in particular to the newly-announced Mii Ecomotive.
Thanks to a start/stop system, brake energy recovery and other measures to improve fuel economy, the Mii Ecomotive makes do with just 4.1 litres of fuel per 100 km, equating to CO2 emissions of only 96 g/km for the 60 PS version and 4.2 litres per 100 km – 98 g/km – for the 75 PS Mii. These impressive statistics apply to both the three- and five-door versions.
James Muir, President of SEAT, S.A. said: ‘The new Mii has enjoyed a terrific start. Customer response in Spain is outstanding and we are now bringing the entire line-up to the other European markets – complete with the three-door, five-door and Ecomotive versions.
‘With its distinctive SEAT identity, its youthful design and its high quality standards, the five-door i in particular is set to capture a significant share of the sub-compact segment. This makes the Mii an important factor in our corporate strategy. The Mii marks the start of the most extensive model offensive ever undertaken by SEAT.’
Five doors make the Mii even more appealing
The car’s compact format – it is just 3.56 metres long – makes the Mii the perfect companion for today’s urban environment. Yet, thanks to its optimum use of space, it offers plenty of room for four adults. With a volume of 251 litres the Mii also boasts one of the largest luggage compartments in its class, expanding to an impressive 951 litres with the rear seat back folded.
The new five-door, of course, offers even greater functionality within an unchanged footprint. The rear doors boast a wide opening angle and thus make for straightforward access to the rear bench. Small children can be fastened into their child seats with ease, shopping bags can be simply stowed behind the front seats and, with their compact dimensions, the rear doors also enable easy entry and exit even in tight parking spaces.
The especially large area of the rear side windows ensures great all-round visibility, while the pop-out function delivers ventilation combined with a high degree of safety for children travelling in the rear.
The feeling of spaciousness that is inherent in the SEAT Mii is reinforced by the addition of an optional panoramic sunroof. The large glass roof extends back most of the length of the Mii’s roof to deliver a panoramic view for all four occupants. Naturally, to prevent interior temperatures from becoming uncomfortably warm on sunny days, there is a sliding roof blind.
As well as providing more light in the cabin, the roof can be opened via a slide and tilt function. So, Mii occupants can choose to open the roof by tilting it upwards for a little ventilation or open it more fully by sliding it back over the roof of the car.
In terms of on-board occupant safety, head restraints for the rear seat passengers and child locks on the rear doors are, of course, standard equipment.
Dr Matthias Rabe, SEAT Vice-President for Research and Development, said: ‘The five-door is the perfect expansion to our Mii line-up. Just as sporty, just as dynamic, but with a considerable increase in usability. When it comes to urban mobility, the Mii fulfils all demands.
‘With its low weight and modern drivetrains, the Mii is both sporty and efficient at the same time. This applies, especially, to the Ecomotive model with its exceptionally low consumption and emissions figures.’
Design – strong character with sporty individuality
As a five-door, the Mii retains the strong character of its distinctive design. Perfectly proportioned, the new SEAT measures 1.64 metres wide with a long wheelbase of 2.42 metres and exceptionally short overhangs front and rear. The steeply angled rear end facilitates the Mii’s generous interior space – optimum functionality is particularly important in the sub-compact segment.
The additional rear doors fit discreetly into the clearly defined side view. The roof contour remains unchanged while the rear roof pillar retains its broad, powerful form. The window line runs a little lower than on the three-door and is emphasised in the side aspect by the clear shadow line. The sturdy door handles indicate the Mii’s high level of quality and solidity.
In its five-door format, too, the Mii is immediately recognisable as a member of the SEAT family, while its new headlamp form marks a development in the SEAT design language. Its side view is characterised by distinctive wheel arches and clean surfaces, and the rear end also displays a new light design featuring triangular light elements.
‘The Mii is a real character as a five-door, too – modern and expressive, yet timeless,’ said Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos, Head of SEAT Design. ‘It is a unique combination of sporty chic and design quality with outstanding everyday usability.’
Mii Ecomotive gains top marks for fuel consumption
When it comes to technology and equipment, the five-door Mii matches its three-door sibling blow for blow. Beneath the bonnet lies a new generation of engines. The frugal 1.0-litre three-cylinder unit is light, compact and smooth. In two outputs of 60 PS and 75 PS, it ensures fleet-footed agility – and not just in city traffic. With top speeds of 160 km/h and 171 km/h respectively, fuel consumption comes in at just 4.5 or 4.7 litres per 100 kilometres. Meanwhile the Mii’s 35-litre fuel tank ensures both a long range and enduring driving fun.
The new Ecomotive versions of the Mii are masters of efficiency. While outputs are identical to the standard Mii (60 PS and 75 PS) the Ecomotive versions boasts a cutting edge start/stop system, brake energy recovery technology and other consumption reducing initiatives. The result is combined cycle fuel economy of 4.1 litres per 100 kilometres equating to a CO2 figure of just 96 g/km for the 60 PS version, 4.2 litres per 100 km and 98 g/km for the 75 PS Mii.
Extra help to stay safer in town
The Mii is also a leader when it comes to innovative technologies. City Safety Assist delivers important added protection in town. Simply put, when a risk arises in city traffic the Mii brakes automatically to prevent a possible impact.
At speeds lower than 30 km/h, a laser sensor can identify another vehicle or obstacle in the direction of travel, regardless of whether the object is stationary or moving. If the system detects the risk of an impact and the driver doesn’t apply any braking force, the system applies the brakes fully or helps the driver to apply maximum braking force. In many cases City Safety Assist can help to avoid an accident altogether or, at the very least, mitigate its severity.
Unique technology aids efficient driving
The innovative SEAT Portable System is an exciting new development in the world of in-car infotainment. This compact unit boasts a five-inch touchscreen yet can be fully removed from the car for use ‘on the go’. It also perfectly integrates into the vehicle’s electronics. Its many functions include a satellite navigation system, hands-free phone capability with voice control and an on-board computer. Of course the SEAT Portable System automatically combines with the Mii’s integrated radio and speaker system.
Full details of the three- and five-door Mii’s UK model range, equipment and pricing will be announced in due course.

VOLVO...

<headline>VOLVO'S XC BRAND KEEPS CHAUFFEUR COMPANY TRISTAR SAFE ON UK ROADS THIS WINTER...</headline>

Tristar Worldwide has taken delivery of 53 Volvo XC vehicles over the winter months to help it cope with the potential chaos that, as in previous years, has been caused on UK roads by bad weather.
Tristar, who recently renewed its three-year car supply deal with Volvo for 2,100 cars to service its Virgin Atlantic Airways' Upper Class chauffeur contract, has now taken delivery of 18 Volvo XC70s and 35 XC90s to ensure it delivers a quality service.
Come ice, rain or snow, Tristar trusts the Volvo XC brand to get its customers safely from the front door to the airport, making their travel experience as seamless as possible.
XC is Volvo's cross country brand, offering comfort, practicality and all wheel drive when tackling bad weather. The XC70 offers a raised ride height, aiding driver visability, along with Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake system, keeping both driver and passenger safe and secure, and with ample leg room passengers can enjoy a comfortable and relaxed drive to and from the airport.
Tristar chose the Volvo XC90 for its mix of luxury, generous leg room and impressive safety features. The car's all wheel drive means that the driver is in charge at all times, giving both driver and passenger peace of mind that they will get to their destination safely and on time.
To ensure the highest levels of passenger safety, all XC70 models feature Volvo's City Safety technology as standard. By keeping watch on vehicles in front with the help of a laser sensor built into the windscreen and radar in the front grille, City Safety will automatically brake the vehicle if the driver does not respond in time when the car in front slows down or stops - or if the driver is driving too fast towards a stationary vehicle.
City Safety is also present on Tristar's current fleet of new V70s and S80s and is fitted as standard in six of Volvo's models.
Dean De Beer, Tristar's Group CEO said: "Volvo is well known for its excellent safety features, so we can be confident that with our new addition of Volvo XC70s and XC90s, we can tackle whatever the British weather throws at us."
Selwyn Cooper, Volvo Car UK's national corporate operations manager, said: "We have been supplying Tristar with a range of Volvos for over 15 years and understand that timing and reliability is vitally important to their business. We believe Tristar needs to be fully prepared for all weather conditions and our XC range will help keep operations running smoothly through the winter months."

NISSAN...

<headline>NISSAN’S BOLD NEW WORLD PREVIEWED AT GENEVA...</headline>

Four forward-looking concepts that will take centre stage on the Nissan stand at the Geneva Motor Show (8-18 March).
They will join a full complement of innovative models that demonstrate the strength and depth of Nissan’s diverse range… a range that has helped the company to record sales success in 2011.
Among the key new concepts will be the world premiere of INVITATION, a design set to inspire a new production model due in Europe during 2013. When launched, this new model will join Micra and Juke to give Nissan the broadest offering of any manufacturer in the compact hatchback segment.
A confident and energetic design, INVITATION offers a modern and spacious interior in a compact overall package. Showcasing the latest Nissan thinking in terms of lightweight construction and advanced engine design, this striking new concept has been designed to deliver spirited dynamics along with exceptional fuel economy and low emissions – the no compromise approach for which the company is becoming renowned.
It also packs some of the most advanced technology seen in a car of its class, including the acclaimed Around View Monitor (AVM) which gives a bird’s eye view of car for easy parking, and the Nissan Safety Shield Technologies which uses cameras and proximity sensors to alert the driver to potential danger.
INVITATION is one of two concepts being given their World Premiere at Geneva. Details of the second unveil are being kept closely guarded until the show itself.
And there’s more. Two further concepts, both hinting at future directions for Nissan, will be given their European debuts at Geneva.
The first, e-NV200, previews Nissan’s next 100% electric vehicle. It is based on the multi award-winning NV200 that can offer affordable family transport with seating for up to seven. NV200 was recently chosen as the base for the next generation New York ‘yellow’ cab and will soon be a regular sight on the streets of The Big Apple.
e-NV200 demonstrates Nissan’s next step in zero emission leadership, following on from the multi-award-winning LEAF passenger car, already on sale and on the road in the UK.
Another glimpse to the future is provided by the Juke NISMO Concept. First seen in December at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, it adds serious sporting appeal to the distinctive Juke crossover.
NISMO, Nissan’s legendary motorsports division, has inspired the Juke NISMO Concept and gives the first glimpse into the company’s strategy to create performance and premium sports versions of mainstream Nissan models; models that are guaranteed to deliver driving excitement.
The four concepts will be joining one of the widest ranges available from any manufacturer – everything from the Pixo city car and Micra supermini via best selling crossovers like Juke and Qashqai, tough 4x4s like Pathfinder and Navara, and the pioneering Nissan LEAF EV to the awesome GT-R supercar.
In keeping with Nissan’s commitment to continual improvement, many of the production cars on the stand will either show minor revisions for the 2012 model year or special versions providing added value and extra excitement for buyers.
But there remains one constant, which is common to every vehicle wearing a Nissan badge. Every Nissan, car or van, is infused with the company’s DNA: innovation and excitement. It’s a formula that has clearly found favour with buyers – despite the economic downturn, Nissan in Europe enjoyed its best year in 2011. Sales were up 25 per cent on 2010, giving the company its highest ever market share of 3.7 per cent.
Sales each month were higher than the equivalent month in 2010 and the company saw significant growth in most of its major markets with Russia, the UK and France in the top three positions. Russia posted sales of 138,827 units, up 74 per cent, with the UK on 107,053 (up 11 per cent) and France on 77,783 sales (up 31 per cent).
Nissan’s best selling range was Qashqai. Despite being in the fifth year of its life, its popularity continues unabated and has earned it the title of ‘the car that defies gravity’. In 2010, more than 250,000 examples of the segment-defining crossover – available with five seats and, as Qashqai+2, with seven seats – found new customers across Europe.
Paul Willcox, Senior Vice President Sales and Marketing in Europe said: “This performance is driven by segment-defining models designed, engineered and built in Europe, for Europe.
“Nissan produces around 70 per cent of vehicles sold within the region at plants in the UK, Spain and Russia. This ensures our line-up is attuned to European expectations in terms of style, quality, performance and reliability.
“The future product vision promised by these four concept vehicles - when added to the strength and depth of our full range - shows the confidence coursing through every aspect of Nissan today. We are on target to become the top Asian brand right across Europe by 2016.”

	<headline>NISSAN’S INVITATION TO ALL..!</headline>

Nissan has revealed the first details of a head-turning hatchback concept which previews the company’s next mainstream B-segment contender, to be sold alongside the Micra city car and innovative Juke crossover.
Called INVITATION, the dynamic concept – which will be unveiled at this year’s Geneva International Motor Show– shows some of the innovation and excitement promised for the new model, which is due to be launched in the UK from 2013.
Design dynamism
INVITATION is an energetic design, bringing fresh style, innovation and excitement to the mainstream market. The clean fluidity of the silhouette hints at its dynamic potential and showcases class-leading aerodynamics for enhanced efficiency.
The side of the car is dominated by a distinctive character line, known internally as the ‘Squash Line’, which adds a powerful dynamism to its profile with distinctive sculpted front and rear wings giving INVITATION a confident stance.
Inside, a refreshingly open cabin combines practicality and modernity with impressive levels of quality and purposeful technology features.
François Bancon, Deputy Division General Manager of Product Strategy and Product Planning Division, said: “The name we have given to this concept is self-explanatory. It is designed to be inviting thanks to its sensuous exterior design and generous and comfortable interior space, cleverly packaged within compact overall dimensions.”
Class-leading performance and efficiency
Combining advanced engine technology, Nissan’s acclaimed lightweight platform and an aerodynamically efficient body mean INVITATION achieves class-leading levels of fuel efficiency and emissions. Nissan is aiming for an ultra-low CO2 emission target of under 100g/km for the most frugal model and with all versions eligible to wear Nissan’s Pure Drive badge.
At the same time, responsive agile handling will ensure that when it comes to driving dynamics, INVITATION will compete with the top performers in the segment.
Advanced safety technology
But INVITATION is more than just a great looking car that’s fun and frugal to drive. The concept packs some of the most advanced technology ever seen in the B-segment, all of which is designed to ensure the car is as safe as possible.
Among the features is Nissan’s advanced Around View Monitor (AVM) safety technology – seen for the first time on a B-segment car – which makes reversing and parallel parking as stress-free as possible. In addition, INVITATION also incorporates the Nissan Safety Shield Technologies, which interacts with the driving environment keeping the driver aware of what is happening around the car.
INVITATION’s combination of energetic exterior style, thoughtful interior, advanced safety features and class-leading emissions, fuel economy and dynamic performance demonstrates Nissan’s commitment to offering innovation and excitement to all car buyers, no matter what type of car they are looking to buy.

<headline>ZERO PER CENT FINANCE OFFER FOR THE BEST USED VANS OF THE YEAR...</headline>

According to the CAP Used Van of the Year 2011 awards, Volkswagen vans offer a winning combination of reliability, image and retained value compared to their key competitors. The Volkswagen Transporter achieved top Van of the Year honours plus the best medium van award, while the Caddy won the small van category – but the even better news is that until 31 March Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is offering zero per cent finance on selected Assured Used Transporter and Caddy vans.
The Volkswagen Assured Used programme gives the assurance that every vehicle has a Multi-point check, 12 months free warranty, 12 months free roadside assistance, European roadside cover, reconditioning, MOT test cover, van data check and seven days free insurance. Plus, to make the experience of buying a used van even more like a new one, Volkswagen offers Assured Used service plans from £279 for the added peace of mind of easier financial planning and 100 per cent Volkswagen parts.
CAP, the independent used van pricing specialist, said the Caddy, ‘brought new levels of quality to its sector with depreciation that’s among the lowest’.
Explaining why they chose the Transporter as the overall winner, the CAP Used Van of the Year judges said: ‘The Volkswagen Transporter has a strong brand image, a very professional dealer network and extremely high retained values. It appeals to a wide range of operators thanks to a reputation for solid build quality and reliability, which directly translates into trust and higher residual values when they reach the used van market.
‘Drivers love it, and when we say the Transporter ‘just feels right’ we are referring to that intangible quality that a truly great product has,’ they continued.
Alex Smith, Director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, said: ‘These awards prove what a good investment Volkswagen vans can be compared to their rivals when considering the true cost of ownership in terms of reliability, desirability and residual values, together with the support of our specialist Van Centre network.’

	<headline>ŠKODA OCTAVIA GREEN E LINE: E-MOBILITY UNDER EVERYDAY CONDITIONS...</headline>

ŠKODA is engaged in intensive tests of its electric vehicle fleet based on ten ŠKODA Octavia Green E Line introduced recently. The current phase is all about new findings in operations under everyday conditions. ŠKODA has begun operating one of the Green E Line cars at Prague airport.
Everyday operating data will be especially important for fine-tuning the electric cars. These are to be delivered to selected partners in late March 2012 as a next step. “We are currently putting our fleet through its paces, because what we will want to be handing over to drivers is perfectly tuned cars. And we are not treating test cars any differently than we would series production ones,” says Petr Kristl, head of electromobility/electric traction development at ŠKODA AUTO. “Before we deliver the cars to our partners a few weeks from now, we want to make sure that everyday operation of our Octavia Green E Lines is a breeze. One of the challenges, for instance, is commuting to work regularly or non-uniform urban driving,” he adds.
The ten Octavia Green E Lines making up the test fleet are to provide ŠKODA with important customer-relevant insight regarding future development of electric traction all the way to series production readiness. This might involve solutions for usage or designing new functions, positioning the charging socket or the issue of how electric cars, being quiet by design, might make themselves heard in traffic.
Testing involves three phases: the first and the second, which is currently ongoing, mainly comprises internal testing at ŠKODA Auto such as trials of the online diagnosis communications system or supporting customer operation, which is a complex matter. In the third phase, set to begin in late March 2012, e-vehicles will be made available to external partners such as utilities, educational institutions or government agencies.
Green E Line electric cars are based on the ŠKODA Octavia Combi, which is ideally suited to be fitted with the batteries, electronic controllers and the electric motor thanks to its modular design. ‘Green E Liner’ engines put out a maximum power of 85 kW with the benefit of their maximum torque of 270 Nm being available immediately, that is to say from standstill. Accelerating an Octavia Green E Line from 0 to 100 kph, will take only 12 seconds, the speed in these electric cars is 135 kph. A range of 150 kilometers means ŠKODA’s test fleet can meet the needs of most European commuters.
ŠKODA’s activities in electric mobility are an important element of this Czech carmakers’ drive and fuel strategy. Mid-term, ŠKODA expects cars to run on a mix of different traction options. This also includes ongoing optimisation of high-efficiency TDI and TSI engines and their transmissions.

	<headline>TOYOTA GT 86: PASSION FROM JUST £24,995..!</headline>

Competitive price for Toyota's most exciting car
Speculation about the price tag on one of 2012’s most keenly anticipated new cars can end: the new Toyota GT 86 will cost from £24,995 when sales start in June. That is the entry, on-the-road price for the all-new sports coupe; further pricing and specification details will be announced nearer the time of launch.
Unveiled at last year’s Tokyo motor show, the GT 86 marks a return to the pure enjoyment of driving. Designed to be entirely driver-focused, it offers a classic front-engine, rear-wheel drive set-up in a light, compact and nimble chassis.
The power plant is a 2.0-litre flat-four “boxer” unit that delivers a maximum 197bhp (147kW), matched to a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. Power is distributed to the rear wheels via a limited slip differential to give the best possible grip in all driving conditions.
Advance orders are being taken for the GT 86, with many UK customers already signed up to be among the first to take ownership of the car when it arrives here this summer.

The event, being held at IndigO2 within the O2 Arena, will become ‘Super Bash, presented by Chrysler’ and the ballot for tickets was hosted via Chrysler’s Facebook page. Chrysler will also be showcasing a specially branded Delta car at the venue, featuring the two participating teams, and will be providing chauffeur transport for VIP guests as part of the deal.
The St. Louis Rams cheerleaders, who are attending the event to promote the 2012 International Series game at Wembley later this year (28 October), visited Chrysler’s UK headquarters in Slough, Berkshire, as part of their programme.
Chrysler will be showcasing its new TV ad on Sky Sports during its live coverage of Super Bowl XLVI. Chrysler acquired the broadcast sponsorship rights for Sky’s NFL coverage as part of its NFL deal announced last year.
“There is something uniquely American about the NFL, and the same can be said for Chrysler cars too,” says Nigel Land, brand director, Jeep Chrysler UK. “We are delighted to become the main sponsor of Super Bash and also that the St. Louis Rams cheerleaders have been able to take some time out of their busy schedule to visit Chrysler’s UK headquarters. <headline>HONDA TT LEGENDS 2012 LINE-UP REVEALED... </headline>

Honda Motor Europe has revealed a four-strong rider line-up for the Honda TT Legends team as it prepares for an all-important second year of competition in the FIM Endurance World Championship and at selected road racing events. The team will launch its assault on the world’s toughest track and road races aboard the 2012 version of the CBR1000RR Fireblade as Honda celebrates the 20th anniversary of the legendary machine.
Seventeen-times Isle of Man TT winner John McGuinness and road racing ace Cameron Donald will remain with the Honda TT Legends for 2012 and will be joined by British Superstock and road racing star Gary Johnson and 2011 fastest TT newcomer Simon Andrews. All four riders will contest the 2012 Endurance World Championship while McGuinness and Andrews will make up a two-man team for the Isle of Man TT and the Northwest 200.
Donald and Johnson will remain in the Honda family at both road racing events, competing for Wilson Craig Honda and Padgetts of Batley respectively. Johnson will also contest the 2012 British Superstock Championship with Honda (UK) Racing.
Neil Tuxworth – team manager
We went into the 2011 EWC as a novice team and it was very much a development year – not just for the riders but for the whole crew. Honda was keen to showcase the Fireblade in a different environment to that of short circuit racing – the festival-type atmosphere enjoyed by thousands of fans at the Isle of Man TT and the 24hr endurance races has to be experienced to be believed! We had a good first year, but now the focus is on improvement with the ultimate goal being the podium. We have the 2012 Combined ABS-equipped Fireblade, two riders with a year of EWC under their belts and two new and enthusiastic riders who can’t wait to get stuck in so we’re very positive about the season ahead. When it to comes to the TT, what better line-up than the fastest man around the course and the 2011 fastest newcomer? It’s going to be an exciting year.
John McGuinness
Last year was definitely a learning year for the team and now it’s time to up our game in EWC. We did a lot of development on the bike last season, particularly at the last couple of rounds with the introduction of Combined ABS. We were knocking on the door of the podium and this year we’ll hopefully go one step further and get up there. We’ve got a great crew and after year one we all know what we’re doing and what the aims are for 2012 so things are looking good. The fact that’s it’s the 20th anniversary of the Fireblade makes it all the more exciting. Each time Honda brings out an updated model it’s a big step forward so I’m looking forward to racing it. I’ve had some of the most memorable career moments on the Fireblade and with any luck we’ll be adding to the list this year.
Simon Andrews
I am genuinely excited about the year ahead. To be asked to join the Honda TT Legends team is a real honour and I can’t wait for the season to get started. I have done a couple of endurance races – one being the Le Mans 24-hour – so I do know what to expect but I’m sure the full championship will be a real challenge. I’m a rider that rides better with miles under my belt, so the endurance side of things will without doubt help with the road racing. To be riding alongside the legend that is John McGuinness at the Isle of Man TT is big business and I’m hoping he’ll have one or two pointers for me! There is no better person to learn from.
Cameron Donald
Last year was my first taste of World Endurance and I loved the new challenge. I was entering the unknown at every race and I had some of the best experiences of my racing career. I am sure that it has improved the way I ride a race bike and I am looking forward to building on that knowledge in 2011. As a team, we learned so much last year and secured a couple of top five finishes but now its time to step it up, focus on improving and hopefully make some appearances on that podium.
Gary Johnson
I’ve wanted to get involved in endurance racing for years so I’m really excited about riding for the Honda TT Legends. It is by far the most professional team I have worked with and I’m looking forward to being a part of it. It’s a brilliant opportunity to travel to and race at many circuits that I haven’t ridden before. I’ve no doubt that it is going to be a challenge, but it is one that I am more than up for.

	<headline>WHAT TO DO AFTER A CAR ACCIDENT...</headline>

Driver training specialist IAM Drive & Survive is offering weekly motoring tips to drivers from its head of training, Simon Elstow. This week he is advising on what to do following an accident.

Be aware of the risk from passing traffic. Look for a safe place to stop to exchange details if you can, especially if no one has been injured.
Turn your engine off and put your hazard lights on to warn other drivers.
Swap details as quickly and calmly as possible then clear the road to prevent causing delays.
Give your name, address, registration, car make, model, colour and insurance company details to the driver(s) involved. Make sure you get these details from them.
Take photographs if possible.
You don’t have to call the police unless someone is injured or if there is an accusation of dangerous driving.
Report the incident to your insurers as soon as you can.

Elstow said: “The reality is nobody wants to think about having a car accident. But it’s important to be prepared in case you are involved in one. And if it happens, try not to get angry or upset.”

<headline>CITROËN’S BERLINGO MULTISPACE & DISPATCH COMBI UPGRADED FOR 2012...</headline>

Having sold more than 1.4 million examples worldwide since its launch in 1996, the Berlingo Multispace continues to be one of the leaders for practicality in the family car segment.
Among the styling upgrades, the new Berlingo Multispace gains a wider, more defined grille, a new chevron badge and a new headlight arrangement. The indicators, for example, are now to the side of the main light units and are underlined by blue segments for an even stronger personality. The lower part of the grille can be fitted with static cornering lights integrated with the fog lights and LEDs provide an eye-catching daytime lighting signature.
The model’s side mirrors have been updated with a more aerodynamic design, helping to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. New ‘Airflow’ wheel embellishers are also available to help improve fuel and CO2 efficiency.
A ‘Black Pack’ is introduced, with customised Onyx Black trim on the top of the front bumper, side mirrors, side rubbing strips and rear number plate moulding. Inside the cabin, colours and materials have been revised on all levels of trim for a more contemporary feel. New Berlingo Multispace is also available with two new body colours, Nocciola and Belle Ile Blue.
One of the most robust, practical and spacious models in its segment, Berlingo Multispace can be specified with up to seven independent seats. The model’s generous interior dimensions can be fitted with the Modutop®, a Citroën design inspired by the world of aviation, which combines a glazed roof with multiple stowage compartments, a dual access boot, individually controlled ventilation and additional lighting for passengers in the rear. The Modutop® integrated boot is easily accessible, with a rear window that can be opened from the outside for easy loading.
The new Berlingo Multispace is available with a range of efficient engines and gearbox options, including Citroën’s e-HDi micro-hybrid powertrain with Stop & Start and a six-speed automated manual gearbox - e-HDi 90 Airdream EGS6 versions deliver CO2 emissions of just 125g/km.
On five-seat versions, the HDi 75 and HDi 90 models now deliver reduced emissions - 135g/km down from 139g/km - thanks in part to the aerodynamic upgrades. The HDi 110 engine is upgraded to HDi 115, providing extra performance.

DISPATCH COMBI
One of the largest passenger vehicles in the Citroën range, the new Dispatch Combi combines generous space - up to nine occupants and a large boot - with MPV levels of on board comfort.
Like the Berlingo Multispace, the Dispatch Combi gains a new front end with a wide chromed grille featuring the brand’s updated chevron design. The new Citroën brand identity is also clearly visible at the rear. A new body colour, Hickory Brown, updates the range of shades available.
For enhanced peace of mind, Grip Control is newly available, with the driver choosing one of four modes - normal, all-terrain, snow or sand. This advanced anti-skid option optimises traction and adapts to all driving situations. An optional tyre pressure monitor is also introduced.
The new Dispatch Combi also becomes available with a new six-speed automatic gearbox, which is mated to the HDi 160 engine. Six-speed manual gearboxes are also available with the HDi 95, HDi 125 and HDi 160 engines. All versions feature a dashboard-mounted gear selector for a comfortable and convenient driving experience.

<headline>FIAT 500L... WORLD PREVIEW AT THE GENEVA MOTOR SHOW...</headline>

Fiat presents the first official images of the 500L, the new model which will have its world preview at the International Geneva Motor Show on 6 March this year.
500L - the L stands for ‘Large’ - is the new addition to the 500 range, which, following the Abarth and Cabrio versions, furthers the brand’s strategy, with the aim of extending its offer by introducing models in a position to satisfy different types of customers.
With the ‘L’, the 500 expands and grows together with customers, to accommodate new experiences and needs once more.
With MPV passenger space combined with the feel of a small SUV on the road and the restrained dimensions and efficiency of a B segment car, the new Fiat model defies the conventional distinctions between the various segments, combining the typical characteristics of different categories in order to create a distinctive alternative to the traditional B and C segments.
With the 500L, the Fiat brand demonstrates its creative spirit once more: a marriage of functionality and emotion, it features a 5-seater single-volume structure which is 414 cm long, 178 cm wide and 166 cm high. It is a further development of the concept of ‘cab forward’ introduced by Fiat with the 600 Multipla, a precursor to the concept of the compact people carrier.
Produced at the Fiat factory in Kragujevac, Serbia, 500L is a ‘first car’ for those who won’t settle for anything less than Italian style, the versatility that comes from a functional design and engine technology that sets the bar in terms of efficiency.
The Fiat 500L will be introduced to Europe in the last quarter of 2012, with an engine range which will initially comprise two petrol engines (TwinAir and 1.4-litre) and a turbodiesel engine (1.3 MultiJet II) and the most advanced, state-of-the-art technology from Fiat Group Automobiles.

AUDI...

<headline> ‘E’ IS FOR EVEN GREATER EFFICIENCY IN NEW AUDI A5 TDI MODELS...</headline>

Sleek new generation midsize coupe and Sportback models become even harder to resist thanks to even more cost-effective TDIe versions and new specification...
Two Audi TDIe engines famed for their frugality, two body styles coveted for their curves and an attractive new SE Technik specification join forces to highly desirable effect in the latest A5 Coupe and A5 Sportback ranges. The beautifully proportioned pair share the latest 2.0-litre TDIe engine delivering 163PS with CO2 output of as little as 115g/km and the potential for up to 64.2mpg. The Sportback also offers a 136PS version of this unit with a very similar blend of attributes, and combines this with a very attractive starting price of £27,320 OTR, making it the most cost-effective TDI in the new generation A5 range.
Both four-cylinder diesel engines are characterised by low internal friction for optimum operating efficiency, variable turbine geometry for the sharpest possible response across the rev range and a new centrifugal governor in a dual-mass flywheel designed to further boost refinement. The new, lighter flywheel also improves engine response at low revs and therefore permits earlier up-shifts for more efficient driving.
The A5 Sportback 2.0 TDIe 136PS can accelerate from rest to 62mph in 9.5 seconds, reach a top speed of 132mph where conditions allow and return up to 64.2mpg according to the official combined cycle test, equating to impressively low CO2 output of 117g/km. The 163PS version reduces the acceleration time to 8.7 seconds, increases the top speed to 137mph and yet is still able to achieve up to 62.8mpg with a negligible increase in CO2 output to 118g/km.
In the Coupe the 163PS engine fares even better, pushing the TDIe to 62mph in 8.4 seconds on the way to a top speed of 140mph, raising economy to 64.2mpg and taking CO2 to 115g/km, the lowest level in the revised range. In each case these engines are linked exclusively to six-speed manual transmission.
In addition to the new ‘e’ units the TDI range in the A5 Sportback continues to include 143PS and 177PS versions of the 2.0-litre engine, and the 3.0-litre V6 TDI in 204PS and 245PS forms, the latter linked to quattro all-wheel-drive without exception. The A5 Coupe is available with the 177PS 2.0-litre TDI and the two V6 TDIs.
New SE Technik specification for all four-cylinder TDIs
In both Sportback and Coupe models all the four-cylinder TDI engines can be combined with a new, highly cost effective SE Technik specification seen first in the A4 Saloon and Avant ranges. At a premium of £1,000 on top of the SE model price for the Sportback or £500 on top of the SE price for the Coupe, it adds DVD satellite navigation, Audi Music Interface (AMI) iPod connection, the Audi Parking Plus system with front and rear sensors and cruise control to the familiar SE equipment list.
In both models SE specification already includes 17-inch alloy wheels, Milano leather upholstery, three-zone climate control, Bluetooth mobile phone preparation and a colour Driver’s Information System (DIS). Both TDIe engines are also available allied to Standard, SE and S line trim in the A5 Sportback, and Standard and SE in the Coupe.
